Cosmo

Before his days of being an Alpha, Cosmo was a regular koala. He did the usual, sitting in trees eating eucalyptus leaves, thinking slow thoughtful thoughts, smiling at friends from the other tree. But what was odd about this "regular" koala was Cosmo could not only talk to other animals-he could talk to plants. Not only does Cosmo know how they grow and what type of plants they were, he knew what each and every one of the plants was saying, to animals, other plants, and sometimes to themselves. According to the curious koala, plants talk to themselves because they assume no one is listening to them, or they're lonely. All the plants of Jamaa know that he can talk to them, so they tell Cosmo all the secrets about plants, and special potions and brews. They carry him in the trees fairly quickly, and create traps for the evil phantoms. The koala is one of the youngest  of the Alphas, and he tries to joke around with the other Alphas. The older Alphas don't necessarily appreciate his humor or jokes but they know he would never joke around about his loyal plants. He loves to study everything from books to nature. He does much research of everything, and is quite an expert about plants. Other alphas agree he is an amazing teacher, and he will gladly teach anyone that needs instructing. He loves to explore and on April 11 he gathered all the koalas to discover a new land with new plants for him to study and talk to. When the adventures came out, he helped out by sending plants that would trap the phantoms to Liza and you can find them on your journeys.

Sir Gilbert

Sir Gilbert has several questions which are not answered. The tiger has wondered many thoughts such as "What would it be like to be a penguin" or "I wonder how sharks swim that fast. How does it feel to swim that fast?" ever since he was a cub. He always wants to be someone who he's not, whether it's a different species or personality. Most of his very good qualities are the things that other Alphas easily get frustrated by. He is super polite, he is majestic, and cautious (or he thinks he is cautious). He takes the time to list the pros and the cons before making any decision whatsoever. These actions drive the other Alphas nuts, especially Peck and Graham. Most of his carefully planned events turn chaotic after the troublesome two decide to make things "quicker". Sir Gilbert desperately wants a quiet life, a life that is so peaceful so he can study his childhood questions. He is such a proud warrior-and he should be proud. I don't think fighting those phantoms are easy. Before going into battle, he honors his ancestors. He takes his strong ancestry seriously.

Graham

Graham is the Monkey Alpha of Jamaa. He tends to notice that Alphas do things the hard way, not the easy way. He is the inventor of the Alphas, often coming up with great contraptions. He can fix things, build things and invent things! This monkey was born to build things, he can't even leave a simple invention alone without improving it in some way or another. He is friendly but can be found distracted easily and is sometimes hyper, which draws people to the conclusion he's a nut. He has a weird sense of humor and is constantly playing small harmless tricks on other Alphas. People find him strange, although handy.

Peck

Peck is a fun, creative Rabbit who loves making artwork! She has made a ton of artwork her whole life.
People say she is loud and feisty, and also very independent. Peck is really silly and talented. She is super friendly to anyone and everyone. She is the newest Alpha, and supposedly she never fought the phantoms...
The Alphas wonder if Mira made the right choice to choose her to be an Alpha. She is so energetic that she quickly tires out all the other Alphas with her bubbly exciting personality.
Although she may seem just happy and sweet, she can get mad in a second. When her friends are in trouble she bursts out in an attacking mode.
Peck gets bored VERY easily, and when she's not bored she comes up with ideas off the bat.

Greely

It is known that Greely is the least understood Alpha. He doesn't spend his time in Jamaa, but rather far places from Jamaa, studding phantoms and how they work. The wolf knows more about phantoms than any Alpha. He makes animals so nervous because of his way to move and dance with the shadows. He can be anywhere at any time, ready to make his grim appearance.One of the people Greely doesn't like is Sir Gilbert. Sir Gilbert doesn't like him either. Both take all precautions not to be in one anothers sight. People say they are opposites of each other. The other Alphas don't trust him or his ways with the phantoms, although they pay him great respect. In 2012, it was said that Greely has returned to Jamaa, only with urgent news about the terrifying creatures called phantoms

Liza

Liza is the Panda Alpha, everyone knows her, and everyone meets her when you first go into Animal Jam. Liza loves to help all of the Animals in Jamaa, and help them start their exciting journey. She is quite an explorer, and though not often,she travels to far places. Long ago she found a land, now called Jamaa, that was crowded with not only mysterious phantoms, but animals who didn't get along well. People say Liza is a peacemaker, because she helped Jamaa to learn and get along with one another-even with the phantoms around.

After the big battle against phantoms and the Alphas, the others tracked the phantoms while Liza stayed in Jamaa and protected the animals that roamed in it.

LaSalle

LaSalle is commonly known for his shy attitude. He is a very handsome Raccoon but people often bypass that because of his meek personality. He loves to write, and often the other Alphas see his work and love it, especially Liza. 

Amelia

Amelia is the most beautiful fox in all of Animal Jam. She is a curious Fashion Designer who loves creating the latest threads and wearing them. She designs most clothes you wear on animal jam! She has an eye for fashion-and beauty. 

Edmund

Edmund excels in literature. Anything with words on it he will read. He has read almost every book in Jamaa and publishes books too. He spends time studying stars in the Chamber of Wonders and often wonders himself about the universe. He is a quiet young giraffe who isn't as social as you think. The giraffe is quite caring and full of interesting topics to talk about.

Marco

 Marco is an extrodinary adventeror, who is just itching to get out and escape the modern world to look at the plants and old buildings. Not only is he good at exploring, he's good at mapping. Land, meadow, swamp, forest, canyons, mountain, any type, he can map it! Everyone agrees; he's one of the greatest swimmers in Jamaa.

Sophia

 Sophia isn't afaid of anything athletic or leading wise. She was a born leader with a passion to help and care for Jammers, as well as teach them the tips and tricks. She stuns crowds with her athletic skills--and beauty. She is quite a coach, she hosts and helps run the show of the mini game Jamaa Derby while she coaches her own studends.

Cornelius

Cornelius is such an explorer, and he knows Temple of Zois better than anyone else! He always carries a map and compass in his pouch he has. Cornelius has stripes on his muzzle and sharp teeth coming out of his lips. Don't  be fooled--he's more afraid of you! The croc is rarely seen around Jamaa, and if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of this friendly explorer.

Ruby

Ruby is a muscular Alpha who looks like she is a hard worker and a good fighter. And she is! She never needs makeup- the rectangles under her eyes are all she needs. She's powerful and mighty, stronger than Otto. She is almost always angry and fierce. She's always ready to attack phantoms at any minute. Her front horn had ot be tied back on because of a fight between her and a Phantom.
